Tour Description

There are some experiences in life where you’ll want to savour every moment. When you book a day tour of Freycinet National Park, you’ll be enthralled by the scenes of Australian bushland, with birds flying overhead, waves lapping on white, sandy beaches, as well as stunning lookouts. This Wineglass Bay day tour will not disappoint.

• Visit a world-class wilderness beach, frequently featured in the top ten lists for remote, awe-inspiring locations.
• Take in the quaint seaside towns of Swansea, Triabunna, Coles Bay and Orford as you travel up the coast.
• Be bold and add an optional walk to your tour, taking in the sights of the ominous-sounding Hazards Bay.
• Tick off the sights – you’ll easily recognise the Cape Tourville Lighthouse as you stop in on Sleepy Bay and Richardson’s Beach, as well as the romantic Honeymoon Bay.

This spectacular peninsula alongside Great Oyster Bay is one of the hidden gems of Tasmania’s east coast. This tour is perfect for the whole family, and can be tailored to your specific needs. You’ll be taught the secrets of the region, with fascinating facts to enthral history buffs. Pack your swimmers, your towel, and your sense of adventure.

Don’t forget your hiking boots and your sunscreen – you’ll need them as you take the short climb to Wineglass Bay lookout. The Hazards Bay tour is an optional three hour round trip, but any fears will soon be assuaged, as you discover a perfectly delightful track. You’ll also need to charge your camera, because the views are breathtaking. The cliffs here are spectacular, as you look out over the crystal blue water. The beach sweeps around in a symmetrical curve, with views out over the Tasman Sea, and you’ll fall in love with the gorgeous wallabies who freely roam the area. Afterwards, you can cool off with a dip in the ocean. The water is cool, salty and refreshing, and the bay is nestled by protective mountains, so you’ll be shielded from the wind. You’ll either find yourself floating in bliss, or splashing in the gentle waves. Or, you can soak up the sun and admire the views.

Tour numbers are limited to small groups, so you can ask as many questions as you like. On the way home you will be able to enjoy the DVD screens on the comfortable air conditioned 13 seat bus.

Tours run six days a week, year-round, departing from Hobart for an 11 hour round-trip. Tours are scheduled between 7am and 7pm, with a minimum tour group of three. Airport transfers are also available upon request (subject to luggage space).

So book now, and get excited for your genuinely thrilling tour of Wineglass Bay and Freycinet National Park.
